Parks & Recreation

The Planning Department shares the responsibility of staffing the Parks & Recreation Commission with Public Works. This Commission works to implement projects listed in the Parks & Recreation Master Plan and to indentify and address existing and expected gaps in our city park system. Highlights from some of our projects are listed below. 

The Parks & Recreation Commission meets on the second Thursday of each from at 11:00AM. If you'd like to submit a written public comment, you may do so by emailing .

UPCOMING EVENT:

The Parks & Recreation Commission is hosting a Park Clean-Up Day on April 29th from 10am - 1pm. Volunteers are needed to help spread gravel and mulch, clear ivy, and conduct general cleanup. Tools provided, please bring your own gloves. For questions, email planning@cityofbandon.org.
